About the role

The Registered Nurse at Hackensack Meridian Health is responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based patient care. They assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans for a variety of complex patients under the guidance of an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Collects and analyzes comprehensive patient data to inform care plans.
  • Performs thorough assessments and recognizes changes in patient status.
  • Develops and communicates patient-centered goals and outcomes.
  • Coordinates care among nursing peers, physicians, and support staff.
  • Administers medications safely using advanced technologies.
  • Evaluates patient progress and adjusts care plans accordingly.
  • Communicates effectively with patients and families, ensuring understanding of care plans.
  • Adapts to changing patient needs and maintains a strong focus on patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in progress or willing to obtain within three years of hire.
  • At least six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in the Nurse Residency Program.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to diverse patient needs.
  • Exceptional teamwork, dedication to ongoing education, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care.
  • National certification in the nurse's area of specialty preferred.
  • NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
  • AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 60 days of employment.
