About the role

As a Nursery Labor team member, your responsibilities include caring for our living inventory, accepting daily plant deliveries, keeping shelves and work areas organized, and maintaining a facility that is clean, presentable, and well-maintained. This position requires physical strength and stamina, as it involves significant manual labor and working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Watering, repotting, fertilizing, pruning, and applying pesticide treatments to living inventory
• Accepting daily plant deliveries
• Keeping shelves and work areas organized
• Maintaining a clean and presentable facility

Requirements

• Prompt and reliable—timeliness is crucial in caring for perishable inventory
• Attentive and thorough—able to notice subtle differences between plant species and individual specimens
• Works with a sense of urgency, takes initiative, and finishes tasks completely
• Desire to learn—no prior horticultural experience required, but willingness to learn and adapt is key
• Able to safely perform essential functions, including regularly lifting and moving materials weighing up to 65 pounds
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Pay

$17/hour starting pay with a seasonal, performance-based raise structure.
