About the role

Position requires the assessment and review of patient history, and ability to use vascular guidelines while determining the appropriate intravenous access device for each patient. Placement of appropriate intravenous access device in patients throughout the Enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Assess and review patient history
• Use vascular guidelines to determine appropriate intravenous access device for each patient
• Place appropriate intravenous access device in patients throughout the Enterprise

Requirements

• Active KY or compact state Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• American Heart Association BLS for the Healthcare Provider valid for at least 6 months from hire date
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• 5 years of related experience

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds on a daily basis and 25-50 pounds frequently
• Ability to stand, walk and sit for long periods of time
• May involve exposure to communicable diseases, hazards of radiation, and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments

Schedule

This is a part-time position, with varying shifts.
