About the role
This position is located within the Northern Cheyenne Service Unit. The incumbent provides comprehensive, high-acuity nursing care to patients across the life span, exercising expert clinical judgement in rapidly changing and complex situations. The position reports to the Supervisory Nurse.
Responsibilities

- Provides nursing assessment and triage for patients presenting with acute illness, injury, trauma, or life-threatening conditions.
- Evaluates clinical data, patient condition and determines appropriate care.
- Administers medication and other treatment plans based on patient assessment.
- Performs emergency and resuscitative procedures.
- Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
- Provides patient and family education.
- Collaborates with providers and team members for continuity of care.
- Documents assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care coordination in appropriate records.
Requirements
- Conditions of employment: Selectee may be subject to a probationary period. U.S. Citizenship is required. Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

Qualifications

- Education: A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required.
- Licensure: For all grade levels and positions, applicants must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).
- Experience: The work experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
