Nurse Technician/NSMT

Essential Job Functions

• Affords patients with daily tasks such as bathing and shaving to facilitate their recovery.
• Performs hourly rounding to address the diverse needs of patients on the unit, anticipating and responding to their requests for assistance.
• Takes vital signs and promptly reports any observed changes to the Registered Nurse.
• Restocks necessary equipment and supplies to maintain the operational readiness of the unit.
• Distributes food and supplements to patients in accordance with their dietary plans and medical needs.
• Marks and monitors fall-risk patients to prevent potential injuries.
• Documents patient information accurately, including logs and labels, for clear communication with healthcare professionals.
• Carries out other duties as directed by supervisors.

Education & Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Cone Health's Basic EKG class within three months of hire.
• No prior experience required.

Licensure, Certification, or Listing Requirements

• Good standing as a Nurse Aide I with the North Carolina Division of Facilities Services.
• BLS (CPR) certification from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
