About the role

Jefferson Regional Specialty Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 76-bed specialty hospital located off Interstate 530 at Exit 32, minutes from Pine Bluff and Jefferson Regional's campus. We have 40 acute inpatient rehabilitation beds dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced the debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness. Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. Featuring all private rooms, we offer customized, intense rehabilitation tailored to the individual needs of those recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care as delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possible blood glucose measurements, and accurate intake/output recording.
• Absorb and report abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings to nursing staff.
• Maintain clean, safe, and well-stocked patient rooms and common areas.
• Manage the tech desk and support nursing/physician staff and overall department throughput.
• Document care and activities per unit standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned; participate in performance improvement and required education.

Requirements

• High School diploma preferred.
• SRNA or EMT preferred.
• BCLS required; Handle with Care preferred.

Skills

• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
• Rapid learning and navigation of multiple software systems.
• Effective English communication (read/write/speak).
• Ability to complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.

Schedule

3x12, 7pm-7am
