Nurse Supervisor TCP Grand Parkway

About the role

We are searching for a Nurse Supervisor for our TCP Grand Parkway — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will supervise and direct clinical staff and gather information, assess, and provide direct care to patients.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct clinical staff to ensure an optimal level of job performance for the consistent delivery of safe, high-quality patient care and customer service
• Direct clinical staff in the provision of patient care, maintaining professional nursing standards and adhering to TCP policies, procedures, and recommendations
• Provide general patient care, prepare patient for examination per practice protocol, and assist provider during treatments, examinations, and testing within the scope of the position
• Assist with the collection of patient/family data, including biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, and environmental information per practice protocol
• Administer medication as directed by provider per practice protocol
• Support patients/families in self-management of their health through assisting with education per provider or practice protocol
• Triage presenting patient complaints per practice protocol, using electronic health records for documentation
• Demonstrate Creating SMILES and AIDET philosophies to patients, families, and co-workers
• Collect specimens and perform laboratory tests, verifying provider order and patient per practice protocol
• Assess patient’s eligibility for referral by verifying coverage with payer prior to initiating referral
• Undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards

Requirements

• Required Diploma in Nursing and Associate's Degree in Nursing or an associate’s degree in a related field accepted by the Texas Board of Nursing for the purposes of obtaining and maintaining an RN license with a preferred Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • RN - Lic-Registered Nurses by the Texas Board of Nursing or Nursing Licensure Compact
  • BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association
  • PALS - Cert-PALS by the American Heart Association
• Required 1 year of experience as a staff nurse and 1 year of experience as an LVN with a preferred 1 year of supervisory experience
