Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Leverage expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care
- Make critical assessments and perform skilled procedures
- Meticulously implement patient care plans
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
- Contribute to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes
- Render professional nursing care to patients
- Support medical care as directed by physicians
- Ensure staffing levels are maintained
- Monitor patient flow using Teletracking
- Coordinate hospital response to internal & external disasters
- Maintain standard for communication within department
- Act as an education resource, assist with mandatory educational programs, and provide instruction to nursing staff
- Absorb and actively participate in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity/Dominican Hospital
- Support Dignity/Dominican Hospital's strategic plan and quality improvement activities
- Provide instruction to nursing staff in the use of the Res-Q staffing and acuity systems
- Act as a resource for Hospital Policies & Procedures
Requirements
- Required: Associate of Nursing, Minimum five years clinical nursing practice, Registered Nurse: CA, Basic Life Support - CPR, Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months
- Prior management experience preferred
