Nurse Supervisor

About the role

Provide direct nursing care within the Endoscopy department, ensuring patient safety, quality care, and adherence to policies. Serve as a clinical leader, offering guidance to staff and assuming relief charge duties when needed. Promote a positive work environment and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans across diverse age groups.

Responsibilities

• Follow patient safety protocols, identify and report safety concerns, and improve safety practices proactively.
• Administer medications, including IV therapy, accurately and document clinical findings.
• Assist with tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent and preparation.
• Provide emergency response as required, ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Deliver safe, direct patient care, maintaining comprehensive medical records and participating in patient and family education.
• Answer inquiries, triage calls, and participate in staff orientation and training, including precepting new personnel.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program; RN licensure in NM or reciprocal agreement.
• CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, and other certifications within specified timeframes.
• Experience not required; bilingual skills in English/Spanish preferred.
• Physical ability to perform heavy work, including moving objects or patients.
• Adherence to safety procedures, PPE use, and infection control standards.
