Role Overview
The Nurse House Supervisor provides operational and clinical oversight during off-hours and weekends, ensuring patient care quality, staff staffing, and efficient patient flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing care, conduct unit rounds, and address patient and staff issues.
- Coordinate with nursing managers, administrators, and bed management for admissions, transfers, and patient placement.
- Serve as a resource for operational needs, problem-solve, and evaluate nursing care.
- Oversee staffing, including liaising with per diem agencies.
- Communicate critical issues to leadership and facilitate clinical information transfer.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current RN licensure in Tennessee or a compact state.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience.
- Current BLS and NRP certifications; ACLS preferred.
