Nurse Staff, Emergency Care Center, Full Time, Night Shift

About the Role

Full-time night shift position (7pm-7am) including every other weekend. Utilizes the Nursing Process (Assessment, Planning, Nursing Diagnosis, Implementation, and Evaluation) to provide and document professional nursing care to patients in accordance with the medical plan of care, critical pathways, and established hospital policies, procedures, protocols, and standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delegates patient care to other professionals and ancillary personnel.
• Communicates clinical findings to appropriate team members as indicated.
• Serves as a resource person for other hospital and nursing personnel to resolve work-related issues.
• Performs additional job-related duties as requested by Department Director, Manager, ECC Supervisor, or Lead/Charge Nurse.

Requirements

• Associate of Nursing Degree required.
• Completion of initial competencies within 12 months of hire, including:
  • De-Escalation course
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • NIMS 100 & 700 (National Incident Management System)
  • NIH Stroke certification

Schedule

7pm–7am shift, including every other weekend.
