About the role
The staff nurse is a professional nurse who, with minimal supervision, is responsible for providing nursing care to patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to healthcare providers.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Successfully completed the Behavioral Health unit orientation process.
- Independently functioning in the Behavioral Health Staff Nurse role.
- Current RN License in the State of Alabama.
- Current BLS Certification Required.
- National Certification Preferred.
Qualifications
- Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
- Associate of Science Nursing in Nursing
- Experience with Equivalent Qualifications:
- Schedule: 2 twelve hour shifts a week, rotating weekends 11a-11p, Day-Evening Shift, 12-Hour Shifts
