Nurse Scientist

Role Overview The position involves conducting clinically based research aimed at improving patient and caregiver health outcomes across the lifespan. The nurse scientist collaborates with physicians, scientists, and external partners to generate knowledge in symptom science, self-management, and caregiving, supported by federal, foundation, and intramural funding. The role requires maintaining a focused research program with a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals. Responsibilities Design and execute research projects aligned with healthcare challenges.Secure and manage research funding from extramural and intramural sources.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams internally and externally.Publish findings in leading scientific journals.Contribute to advancing symptom science, self-management, and caregiving sciences. Qualifications & Skills PhD in a relevant field; RN licensure or eligibility in Minnesota.Post-doctoral fellowship experience preferred for early career; considered on a case-by-case basis for mid- and senior career candidates without fellowship.Proven scholarly productivity with grant funding experience.
