Nurse-RN Telehealth

About the role

Performs intake functions pertaining to the documentation of patient medical history. Conducts assessment interviews using virtual technology and inputs data into medical record software such as EPIC Admission Navigator. Collaborates with bedside RNs to acquire and document data and develop a plan of care. Coordinates and provides care utilizing the critical thinking framework known as the nursing process to help partner with patients/families to attain, maintain, and restore health whenever possible. Blends caring, compassion, knowledge, and integrity to provide safe quality care that preserves patient autonomy, dignity, and rights.

Responsibilities

The following are all accomplished in an onsite virtual setting using technology:

• Collaborates with bedside RN to assess patients and document patient medical history.
• Assists in developing the plan of care.
• Assists in documenting the plan of care.
• Collaborates with bedside RN to provide patient, family, and/or significant other health teaching/education.
• Participates in activities designed to improve health care delivery.
• Communicates/collaborates with others in providing patient care.
• Maintains patient confidentiality while following HIPAA guidelines at all times.
• Provides clinical leadership.
• Supports lifelong learning.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
