Job Title: Telehealth Nurse Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Telehealth Nurse to counsel and educate oncology patients on specialty drug therapies via phone. This role involves no direct patient care or home visits. Your expertise will contribute to patient understanding and adherence to treatment plans, while ensuring compliance with contracted and accrediting regulations. Responsibilities Counsel and educate new and existing oncology patients on specialty drug therapies through inbound and outbound phone calls.Ensure adherence to contracted and accrediting regulations as outlined by drug specifications.Maintain complete, thorough, and accurate documentation using electronic medical records (EMR) in compliance with industry standards.Discuss potential and current side effects with patients, educating them about treatment alternatives to facilitate ongoing therapy adherence.Identify and report adverse events and product complaints to the manufacturer, FDA, and other governing authorities as required. Essential Skills Telehealth experienceTriage and acute care expertiseOncology nursing experienceActive RN licenseUtilization management skillsPatient education proficiency Additional Skills & Qualifications Registered Nurse with a current unrestricted multi-state compact state license (NC)Preferred experience in Oncology and/or Hematology3+ years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in acute, inpatient care preferredStrong computer skills including email, word processing, spreadsheet, and web-based programsEffective oral and written communication skillsExperience with motivational interviewing preferredAbility to read, analyze, and interpret practice standards, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations Work Environment The work schedule requires onsite presence from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm, with occasional Saturday shifts on a quarterly rotation, which may be remote. You will be working within a leading healthcare organization focused on patient care and access. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cary, NC. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $41.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
