Nurse Residency Spring 2027 - Labor and Delivery Track
About the role
Calling all Senior Nursing Students, Nurse Graduates and new RN's, it is time to apply for our Labor and Delivery Nurse Residency Program starting Spring 2027.
Responsibilities
- Participate in lecture and simulation education
- Engage in peer support
- Undergo preceptor-led clinical experiences in Labor & Delivery, Peri Op, OB High Risk and Antenatal units
- Attend monthly residency meetings to further develop as professional nurses
- Upon successful completion, be hired as a staff nurse within the Labor and Delivery unit at ChristianaCare
Requirements
- Graduating from accredited nursing school before March 2027 (BSN preferred)
- BLS certification required
- Less than 12 months experience from the programs' start date
- Delaware or Compact State licensure as a Registered Nurse

Pay
This flat rate position pays $38.61/hr plus any applicable differentials.
Schedule
Nurse residents are required to pass State Boards and be licensed as a RN in the State of Delaware (or compact state) prior to starting position. Positions start mid-March 2027.
What to Expect After Application and Timeline
- Communication from Talent Acquisition Team about specific next steps including: video interview and clinical references completed through third party vendors
- Digital real-time and/or In-Person interviews will begin end of September and run until mid-October
- Offers to be made in mid-October
- Nurse Residency Positions start mid-March 2027
