About the opportunity
A growing healthcare organization is seeking a compassionate and clinically confident Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Detroit, Michigan team providing wound care and dermatologic services within a structured outpatient PACE clinic environment serving senior populations.
What you’ll do
- Perform comprehensive wound and skin assessments
- Develop and manage individualized wound treatment plans
- Provide ongoing wound care management and follow-up care
- Perform procedures within scope of practice including:
- Debridement
- Compression wrapping
- Wound dressing applications
- Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (Wound VAC)
- Perform dermatologic and skin integrity evaluations
- Identify and manage common skin conditions and chronic wound concerns
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Educate caregivers and staff on wound prevention and treatment strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
- Travel locally between clinic locations within the Detroit market as needed
Ideal background
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in Michigan
- Experience in wound care, geriatrics, dermatology, post-acute care, or senior-focused healthcare preferred
- Comfortable working independently within clinic-based environments
- Strong bedside manner and communication skills
- Reliable transportation for local travel between clinic sites
- Wound care certification preferred but not required
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday through Friday
- Daytime hours
- Consistent weekly scheduling
- No overnight call
Compensation & benefits
- $650 per day
- Mileage reimbursement
- Flexible scheduling support
- Bonus potential available for qualified providers
Practice setting
- This role primarily serves patients within:
- PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) centers
- Coordinated outpatient senior care clinics
- Interdisciplinary geriatric care environments
