About the Role
This full-time employed position is for a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to join a growing, community-based Wound Care/Hyperbaric Medicine practice. The role is outpatient-based and involves delivering patient care services, monitoring and coordinating care for wound care patients, and contributing to nursing education, professional development, training, competencies, and the development of policies and procedures. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work with a collaborative and collegial team.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of patient care services for the wound care population.
- Provide, monitor, and coordinate care for wound care patients.
- Contribute to wound care nursing education, professional development, training, and competencies.
- Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and the program.
- Work independently and take initiative in achieving wound care center goals.
- Promote a culture of excellence and handle multiple priorities.
- Demonstrate strong clinical nursing practice, critical thinking, problem-solving, and crisis management.
- Collaborate effectively with patients, medical staff, and team members.
Requirements
- Master of Science with completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.
- Registered with the Maryland Board of Examiners of Nurses and certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland.
- BLS certification and wound care certification required.
- Wound and Ostomy Certification (WOCN) preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of wound care nursing experience and at least two (2) years of adult NP experience preferred.
- Previous outpatient setting experience preferred.
- Maintain an NPI number and DEA.
