Nurse Practitioner - Wound Care

Role Overview This position involves providing advanced nursing care by assessing, planning, and implementing patient health strategies using scientific knowledge and nursing theory. The role includes direct patient care, indirect supervision of healthcare personnel, and education of individuals or groups to enhance health communication and understanding. The nurse acts as a consultant and resource for advanced nursing practices and participates in service evaluations. Key Responsibilities Evaluate physical and psychosocial health through comprehensive assessments and diagnostics.Diagnose health issues and oversee care plans.Lead and coordinate nursing, medical, and clerical staff in patient care delivery.Develop and implement individualized care and education plans.Maintain accurate documentation and legal records.Counsel patients and support health promotion and disease prevention.Participate in healthcare research, policy development, and system improvements.Perform clinical duties as necessary to maintain expertise and licensing. Qualifications And Skills Master’s degree in nursing in relevant specialty.Licenses: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Registered Nurse in Hawaii.National Provider Identifier, Basic Life Support, and Nurse Practitioner certification.Strong customer service, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.Preferred: Nurse Practitioner experience in a specialty area, proficiency with PC applications, and Hawaii APRN recognition with prescriptive authority.
