About the Role

We are a fast-growing, vibrant group practice providing psychiatric services in assisted living and long-term care facilities throughout New York and New Jersey. Our well-respected group has been operating for 14 years and currently has 35 nurse practitioners on the team, supported by two psychiatrists. Experienced clinicians can have relative autonomy if comfortable with geriatric psychopharmacology; new employees and new graduates receive tremendous support from our clinical staff, including direct rounding and collaboration with senior clinicians. You can call our doctors directly for case discussion or advice on difficult patients, families, or facility staff — we are collaborators in real life, not just on paper.

The focus is psychiatric medication management and supportive psychotherapy. You will complete initial evaluations and follow-up visits onsite at assigned facilities, treating depression, anxiety, cognitive disorders, and dementia with behavioral issues. You will have extensive clinical support (direct collaboration on any case) as well as administrative support so you can focus on patient care. Documentation is streamlined and efficient, with real-time administrative support and technology leveraged for workflow efficiency. This position suits someone motivated, self-directed, and who prefers not to sit in the same office day after day. You will work as part of a team, interacting with primary care physicians, other NPs/PAs, psychology, nursing, and families.
