Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatry

About the role

We are a fast-growing and vibrant group practice that provides psychiatric services in assisted living and long-term care facilities throughout NY and NJ. Our well-respected group has been providing services for 14 years and currently has 35 NP's on the team. The NP's are supported by our 2 psychiatrists.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial evaluations and follow-up visits onsite at the facilities we take care of.
• Treat conditions such as depression, anxiety, cognitive disorders, and dementia with behavioral issues.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including primary care physicians, other NP/PAs, psychology, nursing, and families.
• Provide in-person services at assigned facilities, up to 45 minutes.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted New Jersey NP License
• PMHNP needed based on state DEA registration (or eligibility)
• Experience or strong interest in geriatric psychiatry, long-term care, or consult-liaison psychiatry
• Able to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
• Effective oral and written communication in English
• Basic proficiency with technology, including electronic health records (EHR)
• Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to regulatory compliance
• Ability to work at assigned facilities, up to 45 minutes
• Ability to walk, stand, and move between patient rooms and offices within the facility throughout the day

• Some degree of flexibility in terms of hours.
• You will not be expected to take formal call (beyond reasonable availability to other team members if a clinical question arises).
• No on-call rounding or overnight phone calls, etc (subject to change).

Pay

$145,000.00 To $210,000.00 Annually
