Nurse Practitioner (PRN-Basis)

About the role

This position involves performing physical examinations and preventive health measures under the guidance of physicians. It also includes recording physical findings, formulating care plans, prescribing or recommending treatments, monitoring patient progress, and reporting to supervising physicians. Collaboration with hospice employees and volunteers as part of an interdisciplinary team is essential.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of physician.
• Records physical findings and formulates plan and prognosis based on patient's condition.
• Discusses cases with physicians and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plans.
• Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment.
• Maintains and reports progress of patients to supervising physician.
• Collaborates with hospice employees and volunteers as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Absorbs the need to assist in lifting and transferring patients as required.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• State licensure in good standing.
• Willingness to drive with reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
