About the role
This role is responsible for providing care to vascular patients. The Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with clinical leadership and act within the scope of practice and under the authority of the attending surgeon, performing all duties within the limits established by the physician staff and consistent with the statutes of the Massachusetts Board of Nursing.
Responsibilities
- Diagnosis and management of patients with vascular disease, including performance of procedures and providing optimal patient care from check-in to discharge
- Comprehensive history and physical exams, including ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing, dispensing, and administering medications
- Provide education and support to families
- Develop and offer educational programs and events to both professionals and lay persons in the community
- Assist in maintaining IAC accreditation, including developing policy and procedure manuals, staffing, and ongoing operations
- Oversee Quality Assurance program
- Peer-to-peer review to assist with insurance coverage
- Assist with marketing efforts, including community outreach, networking, and social media
- Ensure proper documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and protect all information per HIPAA guidelines
- Continuously engage in projects that advance professional awareness and competency
- Provide clinical guidance and leadership for the team as needed
- Uphold all regulatory standards, including IAC
- Complete ad hoc projects as needed
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing
- Registered as a nurse in the state of Massachusetts
- 3+ years of recent experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a vascular setting (preferred)
- 1+ year of out-patient care experience (preferred)
- Ability to work effectively as a team member, developing work relationships with everyone in the office
- High standard of moral and ethical behavior
Pay
$95,000 - $150,000 per year, negotiable based on skills and experience.
