Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Outpatient and Inpatient Cardiology
About the role
This position is an Advanced Practice Provider role at UW Health, working at the outpatient clinic at E. Terrace Dr. Medical Center or the Arbor Gate Clinic in Madison, WI, including a regional clinic and a regular inpatient rotation at East Madison Hospital.
Work Schedule
The current work schedule is 100% remote, day shift from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday. This schedule may change based on programmatic growth.
Pay
The pay range listed reflects both titles. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified applicants.

Education
- If Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program.
- If Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program.
Licenses and Certifications
- Minimum – State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure.
- If Nurse Practitioner*: Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice.
- If Physician Assistant*: Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND Active PA board certification.
Qualifications
- All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire. Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state of practice. This may include licensing in Wisconsin and other state(s) of practice.
Skills
Play an integral role in inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients. Provide comprehensive care to both well and ill adult patients. Perform clinic visits for new and returning cardiovascular patients. Provide cardiology consults in the inpatient setting in collaboration with the cardiologist. Provide timely communication to patients and staff for the management of patient needs.
