Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Inpatient / Outpatient General Cardiology

About the role

Location: La Crosse, WI | Department: Cardiovascular Medicine | Remote: No | Exempt status: Exempt.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive direct and indirect patient care in both outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital settings, including clinic return/established patients, inpatient consultations, and rounding.
• Communicate with physicians regarding changes in patients’ clinical condition, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology.
• Accurately modify therapeutic interventions in response to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate within a team‑based care model, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Participate in an OnDemand pre‑recorded interview as part of the selection process.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner: Master’s‑prepared graduate of an accredited nursing school and NP program; current WI RN and APRN license; certification as an FNP, ANP, or AGNP.
• Physician Assistant: Graduate of an accredited PA program; current PA certification by NCCPA; registration as a PA with the WI Medical Examining Board.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date.
• DEA registration required.
• Ability to provide both inpatient and outpatient cardiology care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Schedule

• Full‑time, 80 hours per pay period.
• Monday‑Friday day shift.
• No weekend schedule.
