Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Hematology/Oncology
About the role
Working as an inpatient team member within the Oncology Service at Boston Children’s Hospital to provide care for inpatient pediatric patients and families. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive and quality family centered care and clinical oversight in a fast paced, collaborative environment with multiple opportunities for learning.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to inpatient pediatric oncology patients and families.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Assess and document patient progress and needs, ensuring continuity of care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and team meetings to discuss patient care.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- A Master’s of Science Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
- A minimum of 2 years NP or PA experience required.
- Pediatric hematology/oncology or BMT RN/NP/PA experience preferred.
Qualifications
- A current NP or PA license.

Pay
Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive benefits package that includes flexible schedules, affordable health, vision and dental insurance, child care and student loan subsidies, generous levels of time off, 403(b) Retirement Savings plan, Pension, Tuition and certain License and Certification Reimbursement, cell phone plan discounts and discounted rates on T-passes.
Schedule
Working 36hrs/week; rotating days/nights and weekends.
