Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Hematology/Oncology
About the role
Working as an inpatient team member within the Oncology Service at Boston Children’s Hospital to provide care for inpatient pediatric patients and families. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive and quality family centered care and clinical oversight in a fast paced, collaborative environment with multiple opportunities for learning.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to inpatient pediatric oncology patients and families.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Assess patient needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and meetings.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
- A Master’s of Science Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
- A minimum of 2 years NP or PA experience required.
- Pediatric hematology/oncology or BMT RN/NP/PA experience preferred.
Qualifications
- A current NP or PA license.
Skills
- Strong clinical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems.

Pay
The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors. Schedule
Working 36hrs/week; rotating days/nights and weekends.
