Nurse Practitioner - Outpatient Behavioral Health
About the Role
Stamford Health’s Department of Psychiatry is seeking a full-time adult Outpatient Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join a brand-new outpatient behavioral health clinic located in a multispecialty ambulatory health center in Stamford, Connecticut. The typical schedule is 9 am to 5 pm with some flexibility.
The patient population consists of adults ages 18+ referred by Stamford Health providers in the community. Stamford Health includes Stamford Hospital, a 305-bed independent community hospital and a primary teaching site for Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons with stand-alone residency training programs. The organization is a Magnet Hospital, holds a 5-Star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, is recognized as a U.S. News & World Report high-performing hospital, has earned a Leapfrog Grade A for patient safety, is certified as a Great Place To Work™, and received Gold Certification for Excellence in Person-Centered Care by Planetree International.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a state-of-the-art outpatient behavioral health clinic located in a multispecialty ambulatory health center.
- Complete psychiatric intakes and follow-up visits.
- Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, office staff, and psychotherapists.
