About the role
Provide behavioral health services to nursing home and long-term care residents throughout South Arkansas. The organization supplies patient caseloads, administrative support, credentialing assistance, and access to psychiatrist consultation when needed. This position offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to improve quality of life for an underserved population.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits
- Assess and manage depression, anxiety, dementia-related behaviors, and other behavioral health conditions
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
- Maintain EMR documentation and treatment plans
- Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, pharmacists, and facility leadership
- Travel between assigned facilities throughout the week as needed
Requirements
- Active Arkansas Nurse Practitioner license
- PMHNP preferred; other NP backgrounds considered if comfortable managing psychiatric patients
- DEA registration or ability to obtain
- Experience in psychiatry, geriatrics, long-term care, primary care, or related settings preferred
- Ability to work independently with clinical support available
Pay
Annual earnings range from $105,000 to $190,000, with opportunity to earn more based on schedule and patient volume. W-2 employee classification.
Schedule
