About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provides appropriate patient care including recording medical history, physical assessments, developing care plans, ordering tests, interpreting results, and documenting accurately.
  • Communicates and coordinates care with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams, involving the attending physician in clinical decisions.
  • Maintains continuity of care, coordinates periodic evaluations by physicians, and participates in performance and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Administers medication, suture wounds, educates patients and families, triages patient calls, and manages outpatient concerns.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing from a Board of Nursing-approved program.
  • National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners through AANP, ANCC, NCC, or PNCB.
  • Practicing-state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority.
  • Within 60 days of hire: DEA license, CPR certification, background clearances.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years experience as an NP or PA.
  • Four to ten years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
  • PA-C or board eligible, ongoing recertification (NCCPA).
  • Within 90 days of hire: DEA license, CPR certification, background clearances.
