Full-time NP or PA position available at Oconee Heart and Vascular Center's Greensboro location.

About the role

Under the direction and review of a physician, the Nurse Practitioner provides patient care requiring the performance of general medical services in conformance with professional standards and regulations. Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary to assure assessment, treatment, and care is appropriate to the age of the patients served.

• Conducts clinical assessment of patients’ health care status and needs and provides patient care to facilitate expected patient outcomes.
• Triages emergency walk-in patients.
• Assesses patients for pre-operative clearance.
• Provides counseling and education to patients to enhance patient care.
• Documents care provided to support continuity of patient care and optimum patient outcomes.
• Performs other duties within job scope as requested.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Hold a current, valid, and unlimited license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant in the State of Georgia.
• Be competently and adequately trained to provide services.
• Not be, and at no time has been, excluded from participation in any federally-funded health care program, including Medicare or Medicaid.
• Remain insurable for and maintain professional liability insurance at rates reasonably equivalent to those available for other Nurse Practitioner employees of the Hospital.

Education

• Completion of a BSN from an accredited nursing school and an MSN from an accredited nursing school.

Experience

• Minimum of two years experience as a Registered Nurse.
