About the role
The CRNP and PA positions at PAM Health provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients in various clinical areas. Both roles require extensive experience and certification.
Responsibilities
- Examines and treats patients independently and collaborates with other healthcare professionals.
- Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
- Works under minimal supervision, leading and directing the work of others within the scope of practice.
- Aids collaborating physicians in patient admissions and discharges.
- Reviews patient records, obtains health and medical histories, performs physical examinations, and documents findings.
- Makes rounds to monitor patient progress and assess overall health status.
- Performs or orders diagnostic and therapeutic tests and procedures, formulates differential diagnoses, and implements treatment plans.
- Prescribes medications and treatments as authorized by law.
- Provides patient and family counseling and education, initiates consults and referrals, and adjusts the plan of care as necessary.
Requirements
- Master’s degree with NP certification from an accredited program.
- Current Active APRN/NP license in the state where the hospital resides.
- Current ACLS and Healthcare Provider/BLS certifications required.
- Current national certification with an accredited testing organization.
- Minimum 3 years of acute experience, with Rehab experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Education and Training:
- Nurse Practitioner (NP): Master’s degree with NP certification from an accredited program.
- Physician Assistant: Educational program for physician assistants accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.
- Experience:
- Nurse Practitioner (NP): Minimum 3 years of acute experience, Rehab experience preferred.
- Physician Assistant: At least 12 months of clinical PA experience, collaborating/sponsoring physician, acceptable peer references.
