About the role

The CRNP and PA positions at PAM Health provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients in various clinical areas. Both roles require extensive experience and certification.

Responsibilities

  • Examines and treats patients independently and collaborates with other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
  • Works under minimal supervision, leading and directing the work of others within the scope of practice.
  • Aids collaborating physicians in patient admissions and discharges.
  • Reviews patient records, obtains health and medical histories, performs physical examinations, and documents findings.
  • Makes rounds to monitor patient progress and assess overall health status.
  • Performs or orders diagnostic and therapeutic tests and procedures, formulates differential diagnoses, and implements treatment plans.
  • Prescribes medications and treatments as authorized by law.
  • Provides patient and family counseling and education, initiates consults and referrals, and adjusts the plan of care as necessary.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree with NP certification from an accredited program.
  • Current Active APRN/NP license in the state where the hospital resides.
  • Current ACLS and Healthcare Provider/BLS certifications required.
  • Current national certification with an accredited testing organization.
  • Minimum 3 years of acute experience, with Rehab experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Education and Training:
    • Nurse Practitioner (NP): Master’s degree with NP certification from an accredited program.
    • Physician Assistant: Educational program for physician assistants accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.
  • Experience:
    • Nurse Practitioner (NP): Minimum 3 years of acute experience, Rehab experience preferred.
    • Physician Assistant: At least 12 months of clinical PA experience, collaborating/sponsoring physician, acceptable peer references.
