Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Cardiothoracic Surgery

Responsibilities

Outpatient clinic position seeing pre-op and post op cardiac and thoracic surgery patients as well as add on/sick visits (New symptoms, wound checks, chest tube management/ care etc.).

In basket portal messages from patients, med refills, and helping outpatient nurses with FMLA, placing orders, etc.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current AZ RN and APRN license and certification as an FNP or ANP.
• Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the AZ State Board of Medical Practice.
• Active BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required
• Prefers cardiac and thoracic surgery experience
