Nurse Practitioner - Neurology Specialty

About the role
The Nurse Practitioner examines, evaluates, assesses, and interprets clinical data to provide care for patients with podiatric concerns and complex wound management, working in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Interview patients for health history and perform physical examinations
- Order and evaluate appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests
- Document history & physical, progress notes, and treatment plans
- Act as liaison between patients and physicians to coordinate recommended patient care, including pre- and post-operative care
- Care for patients in both clinic and hospital settings
- Participate in multi-disciplinary quality and service improvement meetings
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Master of Science degree or higher, with completion of a Nurse Practitioner Program
- Registered and currently recorded with the Maryland Board of Nursing, and certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the area of specialization
- Orthopedic experience is a plus
- Neurology experience is required
Physical & Mental Requirements
- Sitting, standing, walking, reaching above shoulder length
- Working with body bent over at waist, kneeling, crawling, climbing stairs, climbing ladders
- Working with arms extended at shoulder length
- Lifting a maximum of 20 lbs.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Friday, floating between Essex, North Howard (Baltimore), Hyattsville, Catonsville, and Glen Burnie locations.
Pay
$120,000–$150,000 per year, commensurate with experience and education.
