Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year experience unless specified by department as an NP or PA.
- Graduate of an accredited RN and NP Program OR graduate of an accredited PA program.
- NP Only: Masters degree in nursing (effective 1/1/03 for those not previously grandfathered in by CMS).
- Nurse Practitioner Certificate (California) AND Nurse Practitioner National Certificate AND Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number (California) AND Registered Nurse License (California)
- OR
- Physician Assistant License (California) AND Physician Assistant National Certificate
- Basic Life Support
- National Provider Identifier
- Will be working with multiple surgery departments as needed.
- Has OR and clinic component.
- If ten (10) hour option chosen, shift will be 7:00 am -5:30 pm, back up 8 hour shift will be 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Skills
- Collect subjective data (obtain history).
- Collect objective data (perform a physical exam).
- Develop an assessment (diagnosis).
- Develop and implement a management plan.
- Facilitate the referral of patients to the appropriate health facilities, agencies and resources within the community.
- Order pharmacologic interventions.
- Develop and implement an educational plan.
- Plan for appropriate follow-up care.
- Manage the care of patients with complicated medical or surgical conditions.
- Support compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (Kaiser Permanentes Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and Kaiser Permanentes policies and procedures.
Pay
Current DEA Registration Number.
ACLS.
Must have 1 year OR experience.
