Providence Medical Center, located near I-435 and Parallel Pkwy. Kansas City, Kansas is seeking an experienced advanced practice provider to join the hospitalist team as a night-time hospitalist practitioner. Providence Medical Center offers an extensive array of diagnostic and medical care. Key services include nationally recognized cardiovascular care, critical care, surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, pulmonary services, 24/7 emergency services and wound care center. The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission and is a member of Prime Healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Provide general care to patients of all ages with patience, care, compassion and understanding
- Perform tasks within scope of practice including conducting tests, recording medical histories, providing treatments, assisting physicians, enhancing public awareness on the importance of health, and prescribing medications
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience working as an NP or PA hospitalist
- Comfortable working autonomously without supervision
- Comfortable working in a collaborative practice agreement with supervising physicians
- Open ICU
- Nights only
- 7pm-7am 12-hour shifts
- 7 on/7 off schedule
- Collaborative Practice Agreement
- Full-Time position
Requirements
- MSN with specialization as an ARNP
- Current state license as an Advanced Practice Nurse
- BLS upon hire and maintain current
- One to two years of experience as a nurse practitioner preferred
- Previous experience with electronic health record
