Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist Group-Nights 7 On/7 Off
Overview
Providence Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking an experienced advanced practice provider to join the hospitalist team as a night-time hospitalist practitioner. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years' experience working as an NP or PA hospitalist and be comfortable working autonomously without supervision. Candidates must be comfortable working in a collaborative practice agreement with supervising physicians.
Providence Medical Center offers an extensive array of diagnostic and medical care. Key services include nationally recognized cardiovascular care, critical care, surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, pulmonary services, 24/7 emergency services and wound care center. The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission and is a member of Prime Healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Providing general care to patients of all ages, with utmost patience, care, compassion and understanding
- Performing tasks within scope of practice which may include conducting tests, recording medical histories, providing treatments, assisting physicians and enhancing public awareness on the importance of health, and prescribing medications
- Working autonomously without supervision
- Open ICU coverage
- Nights only, 7pm-7am, 12-hour shifts
- 7 on / 7 off schedule
- Collaborative Practice Agreement
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience working as NP Hospitalist
- MSN with specialization as an ARNP
- Current state license as an Advanced Practice Nurse
- BLS upon hire and maintain current
- One to two years of experience as a nurse practitioner preferred
- Previous experience with electronic health record
