About the role

Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing Gastroenterology (GI) team at Gastropark Ridge. The ideal candidate will support our board-certified gastroenterologists in providing high-quality, patient-centered care for a wide range of digestive health conditions. This role is 100% inpatient.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and medical histories on GI patients in the hospital
• Call responsibility involved – to be discussed during interview
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests related to gastrointestinal conditions
• Manage chronic GI disorders such as GERD, IBD, IBS, liver disease, and more
• Collaborate closely with GI physicians in outpatient and inpatient settings
• Perform follow-up care and education for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures
• Provide pre- and post-procedural counseling and medication management
• Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Illinois
• Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology NP
• Minimum of 1–2 years of NP experience, preferably in a GI or internal medicine setting
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient education skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $125,000–$135,000 annually. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
