Nurse Practitioner - Gastroenterology

Essential Functions
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and chronic diseases and conditions in the field of gastroenterology.
- Prescribe or administer medications, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
- Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
- Monitor patients' conditions and progress and re-evaluate treatments, as necessary.
- Provide health and wellness advice to patients, including diet, physical activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Maintain detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests, and/or treatments prescribed, and test results.
- Referral patients to other medical specialists, when necessary.
- Provide compassionate and empathetic support and advice to patients regarding their health concerns.
- Prepare official health documents or records, when necessary.
- Participate in network activities such as Provider meetings, Grand Rounds, and training sessions.
Qualifications
- Current New York State NP license required.
- DEA required.
- BLS/ACLS certification required.
- 3+ years of experience preferred but all welcome.
- Bilingual English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) required.

We are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners to join our dynamic team in the field of gastroenterology. Our goal is to provide high-quality, compassionate care to our diverse patient population in multiple locations across New York City.
Schedule
Hours will vary depending on the location and department, but typically range from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
