Minimum Qualifications
- Current Louisiana RN license
- Master’s degree with a concentration in the respective advanced practice nursing specialty from an accredited college or university
- Certification by a nationally recognized certifying body
- Unencumbered, unrestricted, and valid CPR certification required
Experience
- At least one year of experience in advanced practice nursing
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Calm, professional attitude in stressful situations and interactions
- High level of ethics in maintaining patient confidentiality
- Excellent analytical skills to assess and evaluate patient needs and develop and implement a care plan
- Handles a multitude of tasks simultaneously
- Deals with and/or solves stressful situations
- Communicates with patients, physicians, and other staff in verbal and written form
- Provides safe and effective nursing care
- Maintains professional composure under stress as in emergency situations
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Stands, sits, and walks most of the day
- Reads gauges, digital read-outs, graphs and educational material, and patient charts in English (Visual acuity)
- Exerts up to 20 pounds of force frequently including pushing and/or pulling
- Ability to move to exam rooms and workspaces
- Operates office and medical equipment
