Nurse Practitioner - Dermatology

About the role

The Pacific Skin Institute is an established, but rapidly growing dermatology practice seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Nurse Practitioner to join their team. Previous Dermatology experience is not required, but a willingness to learn and adapt is essential.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a comprehensive 4-month in-house training program including on-the-job training, independent reading, shadowing, and medical writing.
• Lead a clinical team consisting of a Medical Scribe and MA, assisting with documentation, patient call backs, Rx and procedure authorizations, and more.
• Maintain a positive and encouraging attitude with patients, colleagues, and staff.
• Assist in the teaching and learning environment of Pacific Skin Institute.
• Participate in medical writing assignments such as website/blog content, practice newsletters, and research.
• Attend weekly provider lunch meetings, lunch & learn sessions, grand rounds, and journal clubs.

Requirements

• Certified Nurse Practitioner
• Licensed Nurse Practitioner
• Dermatology preferred, but not required
