Dermatology Nurse Practitioner

The MedServ Group is a rapidly growing medical practice that provides residents in Skilled Nursing Facilities with top-of-line care. We are seeking a talented Dermatology Nurse Practitioner to join our team on a part-time basis, conducting 1-2 visits monthly.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams and patient observations
• Record patients' medical histories and symptoms
• Create patient care plans and contribute to existing ones
• Order, administer, and analyze diagnostic tests
• Monitor and operate medical equipment, as needed
• Diagnose health issues and share findings with the physician on call
• Administer medicine and other treatments

Requirements

• CNP/Certified Nurse Practitioner License
• Graduate of a state-registered Nurse Practitioner Program or certified as a Nurse Practitioner by a National Association
• Dermatology experience in a clinic, hospital, or nursing home
• Either a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.), Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), or Nurse Practitioner (N.P.) specializing in Dermatology from an approved university
• Experience using diagnostic techniques to identify diseases and implement appropriate treatments
• Experience managing a diverse staff and client base
• Ability to communicate important health information effectively and compassionately
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with the elderly
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• DEA certification required

Pay

$35.00 – $40.00 per patient or $60.00 - $65.00 per hour

Schedule

• Part-time, 1-2 visits monthly
• Typically 9 AM – 5 PM, including 7-8 hours visiting patients plus paperwork
• 20-25 patients per visit
