Job Summary We are seeking a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner with at least one year of outpatient cardiology experience to support a growing cardiology service line. This role works collaboratively with cardiologists and clinical staff to provide high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including history, physical exams, and risk stratificationManage and follow patients with cardiac conditions such as hypertension, heart failure, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, and hyperlipidemiaOrder, interpret, and review diagnostic tests (EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitors, labs)Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with cardiology physiciansPrescribe medications and adjust therapies in accordance with evidence-based guidelinesProvide patient education on disease management, lifestyle modification, and medication adherenceDocument clinical encounters accurately in the electronic medical recordCoordinate care with referring providers, imaging, and ancillary servicesParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocols Required Active Nurse Practitioner license in NYMinimum of 1 year of outpatient cardiology Nurse Practitioner experienceBoard certification (ANCC or AANP)Active DEA (or eligibility to obtain)Strong knowledge of cardiovascular disease managementExcellent communication and clinical judgment skills Preferred Experience in outpatient cardiology or multispecialty practicesFamiliarity with EPIC or similar EMR systemsExperience managing high-volume patient panels Essen Health care is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and we seek candidates who desire to work in and serve an ethnically diverse population.
