Nurse Practitioner

Position Summary

The Nurse Practitioner will provide patient care under the direct supervision of a physician, including assessing and diagnosing patients in the hospital. The position is based at Methodist University Hospital.

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and FDA
• Demonstrated ability to:
• Treat and provide appropriate care for patients with acute stroke symptoms
• Triage inpatients and report findings to attending physician
• Knowledge of coding and billing parameters that govern the provision of patient care by Nurse Practitioner within state of Tennessee and as applicable to individual carriers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Requirements

• Education & Experience:
• Master's degree in Nursing and certification as a Nurse Practitioner required (must include Certification and prescriptive authority)
• Required State of Tennessee licensure
• 3-5 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner
