Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to assess patients' mental health status and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide medication management and prescribe appropriate psychotropic medications.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care for patients.
• Offer counseling and psychotherapy services to individuals, families, and groups.
• Monitor patients' progress, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self‑care strategies.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date medical records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medication records.
• Stay current with advancements in psychiatric care and participate in continuing education.
• Average 28 patient‑facing hours weekly after month 3 of employment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, with or without advanced notice.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience providing psychiatric care to individuals.
• Strong knowledge of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and evidence‑based treatment modalities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
• Commitment to high‑quality, compassionate behavioral health care.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and related software.
• Successful completion of a background check applicable to the position.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Psychiatric‑Mental Health Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted Washington State ARNP license.
• Certification as a Psychiatric‑Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from a recognized certifying body.
• Current DEA registration.
• Register as an agency‑affiliated counselor or obtain a behavioral health credential through the Washington State Department of Health within 60 days of employment, as required by WAC 246‑341.

Pay

$142,000 – $200,000

Schedule

• Average 28 patient‑facing hours weekly after month 3 of employment.
• Primarily office and clinical environment; mainly sitting with occasional standing, walking, and lifting of items up to 10 lb.
