Atlanta Women’s Healthcare Specialists is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide high-quality obstetrics and gynecology care.

About the role

This position delivers patient-centered care, performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and enhances care coordination and patient satisfaction. Aesthetic experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient-centered care that enhances satisfaction and ensures continuity of care.
  • Conduct physical exams and offer education and counseling on preventative care and family planning.
  • Deliver OB/GYN-specific care, including evaluation and management of common gynecological conditions and prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care.
  • Diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, and write prescriptions.
  • Support other clinical staff and physicians as needed.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nurse Practitioner studies.
  • Valid and unrestricted NP license in the state of Georgia.
  • Minimum 4 years of OB/GYN-centered experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with office equipment and basic Microsoft Word programs.
  • Experience navigating and using EMR; Centricity EMR system preferred.

Skills

  • Knowledge of health care planning, clinic policies, diagnostic equipment, and medical terminology.
  • Ability to use EMR, organize priorities, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively with patients, staff, and physicians.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, exercise initiative, judgment, and discretion in decision-making.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to understand patient needs.
  • Physical ability to move and manipulate patients, lift up to 25 pounds, and stand or sit for prolonged periods.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking to assist and assess patients.
  • Ability to move and manipulate patients.
  • Occasional bending and lifting of supplies up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequent operation of office machinery such as computers, calculators, copiers, and printers.
