Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic conditions related to allergy, asthma, and immunologic disorders.
- Conduct comprehensive physical exams and health assessments.
- Prescribe appropriate medications, treatments, and allergy immunotherapy per clinical protocols.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment and management plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed to support clinical decisions.
- Collaborate with supervising physician and interdisciplinary team on complex patient cases.
- Provide patient education and counseling regarding disease prevention, medication adherence, and symptom management.
- Refer patients to specialists or ancillary services as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Act as a clinical resource and liaison to support care coordination with front and back-office teams.
- Adhere to clinical guidelines, compliance standards, and AllerVie policies.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to build strong rapport with patients of all ages.
- Demonstrates clinical decision-making, leadership, and accountability.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with patients and care teams.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, outpatient environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort working in EMR systems.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
- Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or FNP-BC) required.
- Prior experience in allergy, asthma, pulmonary, or internal/family medicine preferred.
- Previous EMR experience required.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and examining patients.
- Ability to lift and move medical equipment up to 20 pounds.
- Frequent use of computers, diagnostic tools, and clinical instruments.
