About the role

Provides direct patient care to women during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Works in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive physical exams and assessments on patients.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitors fetal health and maternal condition throughout pregnancy and delivery.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Provides education and support to patients and their families regarding reproductive health and newborn care.

Requirements

• Current New York State certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM).
• Graduate from an accredited program in midwifery.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting.
• Passing score on the NCLEX-RN exam.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN preferred).
• Experience in obstetric and gynecological care.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Pay
