About the role

A health system in Brooklyn is seeking a Nurse Manager, Wound, Ostomy, & Continence Nursing (WOCN) to lead clinical programs focused on wound prevention, ostomy care, and continence management. This is a great opportunity to combine hands-on clinical expertise with program leadership, quality improvement, and staff education.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and evaluate evidence-based wound, ostomy, and continence programs across the continuum of care
  • Serve as a clinical expert and consultant for complex wound, ostomy, and continence cases
  • Develop staff education and initiatives to prevent pressure injuries and other hospital-acquired conditions
  • Monitor quality data, identify trends, and implement strategies to improve clinical outcomes
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to advance patient care and nursing excellence

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) and an active New York State RN license
  • WOCN specialty certification (CWOCN, CWON, COCN, CCCN or equivalent), or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire
  • 3–5+ years of clinical WOCN experience; acute care or community hospital experience preferred
  • Master's degree and experience with NDNQI, quality reporting, or program development highly preferred

Pay

$155,000 to $195,000
