About the role
The Wound Care Services Manager oversees the delivery of wound-related patient care, ensuring safety and patient well-being. This role involves planning, directing, and evaluating clinical practice, managing resources, developing policies, and participating in department activities to promote patient-centered care for diverse populations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians to create comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
- Educate providers and nursing staff on wound care techniques and best practices.
- Develop new service programs aligned with hospital goals and patient needs.
- Establish performance standards and evaluate staff performance.
- Coordinate educational initiatives for clinical staff.
Requirements
- BSN from an accredited nursing program (master’s degree preferred).
- At least two years of wound care and hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) experience.
- Supervisory or leadership experience in a clinical setting.
Qualifications
- Active RN registration and licensure.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
- Board certification as a Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) or Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (WOCN).
